Belong to Me—Clever but Costly, by Clever Trick

Broodmares Emeritus

Ocean Drive is one of Blue Heaven Farm’s foundation mares. A four-time graded stakes winner and consistently strong producer, she helped establish the quality and direction of the program. Her legacy continues through her G2-placed daughter Sy B, whom the farm retained and looks forward to seeing on the racetrack in 2026.

Now retired, Ocean Drive enjoys a well-earned life of leisure, remaining a cherished cornerstone of the Blue Heaven story.

Belong to Me—Clever but Costly, by Clever Trick

Featherbed was a cornerstone of the Blue Heaven broodmare band. A standout juvenile who won at Saratoga before finishing second by a head in the G1 Matron S., she was also a stakes winner at Saratoga at three.

As a producer, she delivered two graded stakes winners—Dynamic Impact and Mo Strike—one of only two mares on the farm to achieve that. Her legacy continues through two retained daughters: a McKinzie filly entering the broodmare band in 2026, and her final foal, a Blame yearling.

Featherbed passed away in 2025 but remains a foundational part of the program’s history.

Mistical Plan was the first Grade 1 winner owned by Blue Heaven Farm and a mare who elevated the program both on the track and in the sales ring. Purchased off the track, she went on to produce several winners including Patriot Spirit, winner of the G3 Vosburgh S. and a Breeders’ Cup starter. Blue Heaven has retained Mistical Plan's daughter, Calle Ocho.

Today, Mistical Plan enjoys retirement alongside Ocean Drive, her influence still strongly felt.

You hear people say, 'that's a great Claiborne family, or a  great Stonestreet family.

Someday, we want to hear people say, 'that's a great Blue Heaven family.'
